Our current members are well established in the areas of finance, media and communications, marketing and sales, IT, journalism, event management, recruitment and tourism. They reflect a dynamic mix of remote workers, business owners, freelancers and start ups.
Coworking with us
We know that coworking needs to be people-centric and member-driven. It is the professional and personal choice to work alongside others for a few hours, a few days, an entire project or as a complete way of working.
When you are coworking with us you are actively participating in an aspect of the sharing economy, creating a sustainable future and use of resources.
In the evenings and weekends Blank Canvas Coworking is used by our members for networking, coaching and training events.
We also host a range of forums from music management to social innovation series in partnership with Port Philip City Council, the St Kilda business community and a range of social enterprise networks.
BEHIND THE SCENES
We pay attention to important details and choices in all our business design and operations, because behind coworking is a way of life.
We have been buying green energy, planting a living plant wall, creative upcycling of materials, banking through cooperative financial institutions, using fair trade coffee, extensive recycling, travelling with carnextdoor and building with tools from the Brunswick Tool Library .
Blank Canvas Coworking has taken over what was previously the St Kilda Hub, and we pay tribute to the established relationships, members and connections which are continuing as we re-position the concept and vision of coworking.
About Doug & Sally
A passionate communicator and tactical relationship builder, Doug is hard-wired to see big picture possibilities and mutual benefit. He lives and breathes ideas, change and how to strategically use resources. (Note: he is a true explorer especially against the limits of speed when skiing).
Coming from the development and humanitarian world, Sally is energised by creating the link between concepts and practical action. (Note: a fan of creative expression, words, and planning, there is always some sort of project underway)
